Time seems to fly by so quickly these days and this precious and beautiful stage of your baby’s life is fleeting and sadly often over before you even realise it. This is such an important time to remember and what better way to do so then with gorgeous and unique fine art images that you can treasure for a life time - a photograph will never grow up.
I adore newborn sessions, newborn photography is an art that requires skill and patience but the results are truly worth it. I would love to capture this amazing time in your lives so that you can continue to cherish it forever.
My newborn sessions are carried out in the comfort of your own home, I have a portable studio which i will bring along to your session as well as many vintage props, blankets and hats, the type of shots we are able to achieve depend on the space available and of course your little one. Please don't worry about your home being spotlessly tidy for me, I understand that you have just had a baby and cleaning is not your priority.
A newborn session should take place within the first 10 days of birth as after 10 days babies start to lose their womb-like-behaviour, we need your little one comfy, curly and ready to sleep in order to get the poses and positions that you see in my gallery. In photographic terms once your baby reaches two weeks of age the newborn stage is officially over and with everyday that passes your little one becomes more and more alert and harder to settle into a deep sleep.
A newborn session usually takes between 3-4 hours as time is needed to get your baby to sleep and for feeds and comforting. We work at babies pace, the session is very relaxed and you are never rushed. I would also like to assure you that your babies safety is my highest priority at all times.
It is never too early to book your session and the best time to book is during your pregnancy. I understand that your babies birth date is unpredictable and that they rarely arrive on schedule but this will ensure a spot in the calendar with a provisional appointment around your due date that can be rearranged accordingly once your baby arrives.
Newborns photograph best in their natural state so there is no need to provide outfits or anything more for your session other then your beautiful baby. I have many lovely vintage props, backdrops, hats and headbands that can be used if you so wish.
Newborn images are so beautiful and special to have as your new arrival will change and grow out of this precious stage so very quickly. I am often told that after the craziness of bringing a new baby home with the visits from family and friends and the settling into a new life, a newborn session allows parents to take a breath, do something that is only about them and really appreciate their new miracle. It would be an honour to be invited to capture your new love for you.
Investment -
My session fee to secure your Newborn shoot is £95. this is payable on booking and includes:
A telephone or email consultation to discuss your unique custom session and tailor it to your needs and ideas.
Up to 4 hours of session time. (for up to 5 immediate family members, £15 pp there after).
Time spent digitally perfecting your images after your shoot.
My travel to your home or chosen location within 25 miles of SN3 4ET (anything above 25 miles will be charged at 45p per mile).
The use of any of my beautiful vintage prop's.
Set-up and use of my portable studio in your home.
After your initial image viewing with me, the best digital files from your session will be placed in a private gallery for you, your friends and your family to view online for two weeks.
